Hiking on Mount Tamalpais Monday afternoon. Just 45 minutes north of San Francisco. Day parking is free. The trails are easy to moderate and the views of the City, Marin, the bay and the Sierra’s are amazing. The last trail, Old Stage Road, we took led straight to this hikers Inn. The West Point Inn [...]

Ferry Building farmers market this saturday was brilliant. Took bart to Embarcadero and walked to the ferry building around noon. The market is open from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m.. Walked around, tasted fresh fruit and produce and bought some peaches, lavender and rose water. Ate killer oysters at Hog Island Oyster Company, a sustainable [...]

Alex and I went to Herbavore on Valencia for some lunch. It’s some really yummy (and expensive!) vegan food. My favorite has been the homemade burger sandwich with avocado, side of fries and salad. Then we had some of their famously intense dessert. Chocolate cake. They serve killer breakfast, the pesto scramble is my fave. [...]
Can Exes Be Friends?

Lately I’ve been hearing and participating in conversations about whether or not exes can remain friends. Some say it depends on how long or how intense the relationship was. Both my male and female friends agree and disagree on this issue. “Men and women can never truly be friends, there is always sexual attraction involved,” [...]

Walked around the Sunset with Marta, she showed me some of her favorite street art. mostly on Noriega and Lawton off the Great Highway. Our favorite was actually more “natural” than the rest. it looks like lightning because it’s caused by the electrical lines falling on the cement.

Went to the North Dutch Windmill in Golden gate Park, built in 1902. Apparently it was used to pump water into the park, by wind alone. Until in the 60s someone thought they should put modern machinery in the mill to make it turn electronically.?. Good news is the city has sent the Murphy’s Windmill [...]

Went shopping on Polk Street and went to Picnic to search for clothes and accessories. I recently found this little boutique while lunching on Polk Street a few months back. They have some of the cutest accessories I’ve seen, very reasonably priced. Tried on some really cute stuff, the romper was my favorite. Have been searching [...]

During my sisters last trip to NYC she went into Kiosk and found these postcards by Ken Brown. He’s been making hilarious pop graphics since the 80s. They are famously on postcards. So when she was in the store, he just happened to be there so she asked him to sign one for [...]
