Second half of my trip was spent in Waikiki. Very touristy, crowded and expensive! Took the sunset booze sailboat out one evening, where they make you sit on a crappy boat and get you drunk while you listen to shitty 90 pop music and pray you don’t fall overboard. Our bartenders name was Rabbit…. yeah [...]

Spent a week on Oahu, Hawaii visiting family and having some fun. Stayed at my Uncles mountain house on the East Side surrounded by Mt. Ka’ala in the Wai’anae range. These mountains are incredible and spooky. Apparently it’s like the Golden Gate Bridge, people come from all over the world to jump off of it. [...]

Alki, a beach front district of West Seattle is the perfect place to swim, lounge and eat crab cakes on a rare hot day. The beach is man made and looks a lot like a smaller cozier Marina District. Went to Dukes Chowder House for amazing lunch. Had a crab cake sandwich with sweet potato [...]

Took a tour of the old City of Seattle.. buried underneath the current city. The tour is $15 and 90 minutes loooooong. The beginning of the tour is all about Seattle’s history, and how they used sawdust as landfill and wood boxes for plumbing… then the city burned down. They take you under the street [...]

Went outdoor climbing at Marymoor Park’s climbing wall. It was 90 outside and I had to borrow shoes that were a tad too big on me. Couldn’t believe I actually made it up twice, my partner climbed up WITHOUT ropes… and got me to lower myself down without a belay. Lasted 2 hours then we [...]

Walked around Fremont Street and ate at Jai Thai, the yellow curry and fried veggies and tofu was delicious. Spent the rest of day walking around and found this sensual European bath and body products store called Essenza. It smelled amazing and had comfy bath robes, slips and nighties. Noticed how all the shops had [...]

First day in Seattle, went to the famous Pikes Market, open daily, it’s an amazing open market that’s way crowded on a Saturday. When you walk into the market there is a long hallway with little room to move around in and long rows of flowers that look as beautiful as they smell, seriously I’ve [...]
